# Terms & Conditions

## 1\. About these terms

These terms govern the supply of bar hire, bartender and event services by Hire the Barman Ltd (registered in England and Wales) to you (the "Client"). By confirming a booking you agree to be bound by them.

## 2\. Quotations

Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated and are flat-rate and itemised. Quotes are not a contract; a contract is formed only on receipt of your written confirmation and the holding deposit (see clause 4).

## 3\. Bookings

Bookings are confirmed in date order. We cannot reserve a date informally, confirmation requires both written acceptance and the holding deposit.

## 4\. Deposits & payment

-   A 30% non-refundable holding deposit is due to confirm any booking.
-   The balance is due 14 days before the event date.
-   Late balance payment may result in cancellation at our discretion with the deposit retained.
-   Corporate clients may request invoicing on 14-day terms with prior credit approval.

## 5\. Cancellations

-   More than 90 days before the event: deposit retained, no further charge.
-   30–90 days before: 50% of the total fee payable.
-   Less than 30 days: 100% of the total fee payable.
-   We strongly recommend event-cancellation insurance.

## 6\. Postponements

One free postponement is offered per booking, subject to date availability, provided we are notified more than 60 days before the original event date.

## 7\. Our obligations

We will supply trained, insured staff and the equipment specified in your quote, arrive within the agreed setup window, and deliver service to a professional standard. We hold £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance and our team includes Personal Licence holders.

## 8\. Client obligations

You agree to provide accurate event details, safe and lawful access to the venue, sufficient power where applicable, and to ensure that all licensing requirements are met (either by your venue or by a Temporary Event Notice you obtain).

## 9\. Licensing & responsible service

Our staff are Challenge 25 trained and reserve the right to refuse service to any person reasonably believed to be under 18, intoxicated, or acting unsafely. We will not serve in breach of any licence condition.

## 10\. Damage & loss

The Client is responsible for any damage to or loss of our equipment caused by guests or third parties at the event. Reasonable wear-and-tear during service is excluded.

## 11\. Liability

Our total liability under any contract is limited to the value of fees paid for that specific event. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

## 12\. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including (but not limited to) extreme weather, government restrictions and venue closure.

## 13\. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
